to our finite minds, all things are relative. even what ideas we think to be true are quite often a jumble of misinformation and quasi-truths, constructed and bound into boxes of certainty that are, in fact, far from reality.
@1 month ago with 3 notesit is not always pure deception in which we are confined, in that we are ofttimes confused into belief through the inherent movement of our own hearts. we tend to imagine the vices of the enemy as reckless or blatant lures, forceful in nature. on the contrary, however, it is almost impossible to convince without an innate desire. the base needs in every human are both natural and deserving, but it is the branches of volition, commonly introduced by the evil one, that are most destructive. my point is that, hooked solely by our wishes, we are presented in absolute subtlety a picture of fulfillment, and thereafter the convincing is left almost entirely to us.
@1 month ago with 6 noteswe naturally grow as each day passes. our expectations and capacity for the fulfillment of our desires is always expanding. so, we are constantly working in order to meet those needs. what if, instead of giving our strength to earning more and more, we were satisfied by an ever abounding sense of thankfulness? it would be the ability for us to receive what is already ours.
@1 month ago with 2 notesday 30 ۞ a picture of yourself and who you are now.
i’m really the same person that i was a month ago. i’ve tried to work on little things about myself and i think that i’ve made a little progress, but aside from that, i’m still just here. alive.
i remember listening to this song in my first semester in college. five hour energy drinks, my girlfriend distracting me, and this song wooing me to sleep.
